Toxic waste symbol
My son liked this symbol - it actually seems a pretty appropriate choice for his lunchbox, especially when he hasn't emptied it after the holidays...

Russian dolls
These dolls are popping up everywhere, so I thought it might be fun to make some for kids' labels. It was quite fun giving them brightly coloured outfits.

Funny faces labels
Belinda and I tried to create some animal faces with little speech bubbles or thought clouds that say the child's name. They probably work best in pastel colours, as long as they can be easily read.

Hands off my stuff!
Today I've been playing with some ideas for funky labels for older boys. My 10 year old son seems to approve so that's a start...now we need some things for older girls.

Swedish Flowers
Whilst on holidays I got a bit of a crush on Swedish-style flowers - great fun for doodling and it's lovely to colour them in afterwards. The middle one here has similar colours to my bedspread when I was small - and it had matching dusty pink furniture!

A bunch of poppies
Trying to play around with some different textures and patterns in Illustrator to make the poppies look as if they were collaged onto the page.

Some bunting for girls
It was great fun making the little floral patterns to go in these flags - the hard part was knowing when to stop swapping them all around!
Festive bunting
We had a request for something more bright and cheerful, so this one has some much stronger colours - thank you for the comments, please keep them coming!
